Hebrew Names of God
How many names of God are listed in Scripture? Well, if you do a quick online search, you’ll see lists numbering as many as 72. Here is a site that lists at least 29 of those names in Hebrew with information on each one. Click on the speaker icon to hear it pronounced in Hebrew.
A thorough study of the names of God will change your life. Each one reveals more about the wonderful character of this mighty God we serve. Another great resource is Lord, I Want to Know You by Kay Arthur. It is a 6-week study exploring 16 of His names. At the end of each chapter, there is a list of questions that can be used in a small group study. There are also DVD’s or audio CD’s available from Precept Ministries that can be used with the study. (Special training from PMI is NOT required to lead a Lord Series Bible study.)
Study the many names of God and you will say with the Psalmist, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name.” (Psalm 103:1)
