If you’d like to join us in studying Romans and the process of sanctification, you can! So far we have 5 in other states and 6 locals (that we know of) who are doing the study with us and listening to the class discussions online. That is so exciting. All you have to do is click at the top on “Join Our Current Study” and follow the link to order a workbook from Precept Ministries. Once you have your book, go to “Listen Here” and listen to Lesson 0. That will walk you through most of the first lesson as well as review the first 5 chapters of Romans. After you have completed Lesson 1, then go online and listen to Lesson 1. Complete Lesson 2 and listen to Lesson 2, etc.
I will do my best to add the class discussion each Tuesday afternoon after our morning class. However, sometimes it may take a day or 2 so be patient. Also, be aware that the discussions are not edited. It is just like you are sitting in class with us. I would encourage you to use headphones with your computer to listen. It will help you hear the comments of the people in class.
Feel free to email questions at “Contact Us.” I will post the question (anonymously) and we can reason together through posting comments. Let me know how you like the features I have added and what features you would like to see. Check back often!
Well, let me say that the response to having our weekly class discussions available online has been overwhelmingly positive, to say the least! There have been 82 hits on this blog in its first 2 days of existence. I know people are just checking us out in response to the email announcement they probably received, but that is still more interest than I expected. I have already heard from 2 in SC who want to join our study and 1 in VA. Not to mention the locals who can’t make it on Tuesday mornings for one reason or another. Woo hoo!
If you are joining our study, I want to encourage you to either email me questions or post them as a comment. I will start a thread and all of you can join in. At least you can join the “cyber discussion” even if you can’t be with us in person.
Invite your friends to join the study. The more the merrier!
If you are ever in Chattanooga and you enjoy authentic English food and tea, then you must visit The English Rose Tea Room in downtown Chattanooga. Here are BJ Lawson, Donna Haginas, Donna Otto, Kay Arthur, Kari Dent, and Alicia Williamson Garcia. We enjoyed a quiet lunch before the craziness of the Fall Precept Women’s Weekend began (Oct. 2008).
