Here’s the latest in the Discover for Yourself Series (D4Y) from Precept Ministries. Kay Arthur and Janna Arndt have teamed up again to make inductive Bible study exciting for your 8 to 12 year olds. Max, Molly, and Sam take us on another adventure – this time into the lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Esau.
Here’s what Precept Ministries says about it:
In this exciting addition to Kay Arthur and Janna Arndt’s Discover 4 Yourself Inductive Bible Studies for Kids series, characters Max, Molly, and Sam (the great detective beagle) help young faith adventurers explore the feats and faith of three fascinating men from the Bible: Isaac, Jacob, and Esau. For ages 8-12. (Children’s reading skills and maturity levels vary, so your child might be ready for these books at a younger age, or you might find them useful for 13-year olds.)
I highly recommend all of the books in the D4Y series. They work great in many different settings: kids’ Sunday School, homeschool, or one on one. It’s never too early to start your children learning how to do in-depth inductive Bible study. Let them discover truth for themselves!
A new key word symbol for a new week. . . Found three times in Psalm 59 alone, this word is a key word throughout the book of Psalms. Every single time the word is used it is describing the safety and security found in the Lord our Protector. The idea behind this symbol is it reminds me of dumbbells which characterize strength. Just a suggestion. Feel free to use your own symbol when doing inductive Bible study!
O my strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness. (Psalm 59:17)
