Ezekiel’s Vision

In this post I told you about the beautiful and inspiring artwork of artist Pat Marvenko Smith. She has created a whole series of paintings depicting the otherworldly scenes described in the book of Revelation. They are an excellent resource when studying Revelation.

At Precept Camden we are currently studying the book of Ezekiel using this workbook. I was delighted to discover that Ms. Smith has created a painting of her interpretation of the vision that Ezekiel describes in chapter 1. Our lesson asked us to draw what we thought Ezekiel saw. This resulted in a better understanding of the vision as well as some comical sketches. Drawing a scene described in Scripture is a helpful study tool to help visualize and retain information. After sharing our drawings in class, we can better appreciate Ms. Smith’s artwork!
