Purim

PurimlogoTwo years ago I was in Jerusalem during the Jewish holiday Purim. It was so much fun seeing not only all of the children in their costumes but also the general revelry and merriment associated with this holiday that has been celebrated by Jews for almost 2500 years. The origins of Purim are recorded in the Book of Esther and if you think God doesn’t have a sense of humor, then you really need to read this book!

Purim begins at sundown tomorrow. In honor of this holiday, one of my favorite websites The Toymaker has shared a free downloadable paper toy. Click here to print and cut out your own paper theater and characters to reenact the story of the brave and beautiful Queen Esther.
