CD Giveaway

I just returned from this event in Mobile, AL. As usual, it was a fantastic conference. The In Worship conferences are always loaded with inspiring teaching from the Word of God, praise and worship music that leads you into the throne room of God, and encouragement from the Spirit of God. One of the unique things about this conference is that friendships are formed. You don’t just go and sit next to people you don’t know and then leave without knowing them. There is time to really connect with other members of the body of Christ. One of the ways In Worship accomplishes this is through their famous annual High Tea which kicks off the conference. It is a special time for women to get all dressed up (hats are encouraged!), meet in a beautiful setting, and enjoy a delicious high tea (In Worship style!).  Nothing brings women together like fashion, food and fun.

The Women in Worship High Tea CD is a compilation of lovely inspirational instrumental arrangements. It is a wonderful accompaniment to your quiet time. Pop it in and let the soothing melodies play as you meditate on the Word. If you’d like to enter to win one of these cd’s, leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite flavor of tea. If you prefer coffee – or neither – just shout out your favorite hot beverage. Please enter by midnight on January 28, 2011. A winner will be chosen by random number generator and posted on January 29, 2011.

(Precept Camden will ship it anywhere in the world.)

Many people call the prayer found in Matthew 6  “The Lord’s Prayer” because Jesus prayed it. However, it is more accurately called “The Model Prayer” because Jesus was not giving us a spiritual incantation to recite; He was teaching His disciples how to pray to the Father.

Lord, Teach Me to Pray in 28 Days by Kay Arthur is an inductive study of not only the passage found in Matthew 6, but also of other scriptures about prayer. It will guide you step by step, precept upon precept, into the real truth about what the Bible says about prayer – how to pray, when to pray, what to pray, etc. Each of the 28 days is a lesson which takes about 30 minutes to complete. At the end of 28 days, you will have a working, biblical knowledge of prayer. It is a great study to do this summer either alone as a daily devotional or with a friend.

Precept Camden is giving away a copy of Lord, Teach Me to Pray in 28 Days. For a chance to win, simply enter a comment on this post. Tell me a prayer that has God answered for you. You can be as specific or as general as you like. Leave your comment by midnight (EST) on Friday, May 22, 2010. A winner will be chosen by random number generator and will be posted sometime Saturday.

This book would be a valuable part of a wonderful discipleship path. Add to it this study and this one, and you will have a prepared servant ready to grow in his knowledge of the Lord and win the world for Christ!
